Richard A. “Dick” Noel, 82, Altoona, formerly of Juniata, died Friday night at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. He was born in Altoona a son of the late Richard A. Sr. and Relda (Bulick) Noel. He married Shirley M. Leslie, on March 6, 1954 in Juniata. She preceded him in death on October 26, 2000.
Surviving are three daughters, Debra E. Noel of Victorville, CA, Robin L. Allen and husband Frank of San Diego, CA, Terri Bailey of Victorville, CA, one grandson, Jason Allen and wife Jennifer of San Diego, CA, one granddaughter, Tessa Allen Page and husband Eric of San Diego, CA, four great-grandchildren, Payton Leeann Page, Rylee Allen, Jack Page and Mackenzie Allen. He was preceded in death by his brother, William on July 15, 1999.
Dick retired from the Altoona City Water Authority on May 5, 1994 after 24 years of Service. After that, he worked for ten years at Thompson Pharmacy. He was a former member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Juniata.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a past commander of the Lakemont American Legion. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing and baseball.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
