Dolores Quirin

   Dolores L. "Dee" Quirin, 87, Altoona, died Saturday morning, November 25, 2017, at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

   She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late James W. and Mae (Whitfield) High.  She married Andrew E. Quirin on October 5, 1968, in Altoona.  He preceded her in death on March 22, 2005. 

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and her cat, Toby.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert High and four sisters;  Thelma Ruffner, Arlene High, Florene Hite and Shirley Bowman.

   Dee was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Altoona.  Her hobbies included writing poetry as well as charcoal and pencil sketching and she dearly loved cats.

   She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon Academy, Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

   Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017,and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., (www.maukandyates.com), where a funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday with Pastor Bob Snyder, officiating.  Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
