Madeline C. Armstrong, 77, passed away Friday afternoon at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late James F. and Madeline C. (Campbell) Armstrong.
She is survived by two brothers: Joseph of Succasunna, NJ, and Dale of Weatherly, PA; a sister, Sr. Leona (Marlene), CSA of Fond du Lac, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas, in June of 1999.
Madeline was a 1958 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1960 graduate of Altoona School of Commerce. She worked in the Finance Office of the Altoona Central Catholic School and retired from Butterick in 1992 after 31 years of service. After retirement, she volunteered at Marcella’s Boutique and spent many years, throughout her life, volunteering at St. Mark’s Church.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards and working puzzles.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 416 6th Avenue, Altoona. Very Rev. Ronald V. Osinski, V.F. officiating. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
