Mabel M. Bunn

Mabel M. Bunn, 97, Altoona, died Monday evening at Hillview Nursing Home. She was born in Huntingdon, daughter of the late Newton and Ruth (Henderson) Brenneman. She married William Brininger, who preceded her in death in 1942. She then married William H. Bunn in Hagerstown, MD. He also preceded her in death in 1965.

Surviving are 8 children: Raymond Brininger of Idaho, William Brininger of Va., Alton Brininger of Md., Susan Bunn of NC., Millie Bunn of Claysburg, Penny Biter of Harrisburg, Gregory Bunn and his wife Patti of Altoona, Becky Bush and her husband Duane of Claysburg; 20 grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her son Ronnie and her grandson John G. Bunn. She was the last living member of her generation of family.

Mabel was a homemaker. She was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church, and enjoyed her favorite television shows.

Friends will be received from 1 PM until the 3 PM funeral service on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor T.R. Hardic, officiating. Interment at Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
