Cecile Ann Reilly, 89, Altoona, passed away early Thursday morning at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Stinson) Stormer. On October 2, 1948, she married John P. Reilly. They spent 64 years together before he passed on February 12, 2013.
She is survived by four children: Hugh of Altoona, David of Blue Knob, Constance Latini of Kentucky, and Patricia VanSickel of Altoona; nine grandchildren: Shawn Reilly (Michelle), Nicole Beckel, Jaime Stanton (Greg), Christopher Reilly (fiancé, Casey), Jessie Conrad (Eric), Alexis Beckel, Meghan Stewart (Bobby), Matthew VanSickel, and Scott Reilly (April); nine great grandchildren: Cooper, Nathan, Brianna, Sadie, Reilly, Madison, Jocelyn, Maxton, and Brock; three sisters: Patty Wirfel, Sonya Reidelbach, and Peggy Woodhurn; many nieces and nephews; and a beloved friend and caretaker, Barbara Stalter.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Shea.
Cecile was an employee of Texaco Oil Co. in New York City and Verizon where she retired from in 1988. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Friends of the Irish Club. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Juniata.
She loved her family, foremost, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with them. Her kindness and ability to laugh and find humor no matter what trials she encountered in life made her loved and cherished by all who knew her.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. A funeral mass will celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 900 N 4th Street, Juniata. Committal will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
