Marjorie Grace Jackson 93 of Altoona went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning 3/25/18 at her home. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of William D Sands and Esther Marie Seasoltz Sands. She married Richard A Jackson on May 3, 1942. He preceded her in death on 7/11/2009 after sharing 67 loving years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her brother, William D Sands Jr on 9/20/94.
She is survived by 6 children. Richard P (Linda) Altoona. Patricia Marshall, Altoona. Steven D Jackson (Joey) Altoona. Jan Gority, Altoona, Shirley Cronin (Chuck), Murrells Inlet , SC. Tina Maze (Joe), Punta Gorda, Florida. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great grandson, sister in law Dorothy Sands and numerous cousins , nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St Therese of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, long time member of Sinking Valley Country Club, Sylvan Hills Country Club and original charter member of the ladies auxiliary Juniata VFW post 8685/Fort Apache. She truly enjoyed taking part in the Juniata Memorial annual parade riding with her son Steve.
Marjorie will be remembered for her love and devotion to God, family and friends and also for her generosity. She had a passion for earrings and shoes and an amazing fashion sense. Marjorie was a true fashionista.
She was an avid competitive golfer and had a hole in one at SVCC as well as one putting 9 consecutive holes during a round of golf.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday , March 28, 2018 and from 10 to 11 am Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where there will be prayer vigil held at 7 p.m., Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. D. Timothy Grimme officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.

A funeral Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church by Rev. D. Timothy Grimme.
