George Clarence Slippey, 87, Hollidaysburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at UPMC Altoona.
He was born May 17, 1930, in Altoona, a son of the late George W. and Gladys A. (Focht) Slippey.
Surviving are two sisters, Anna Jean Young of Altoona, Margie A. Diehl of Greenwood, nephew Timothy Young, two nieces Cheryl Hileman and Carole Diehl and his two best friends and hunting buddies, Bob Breslin and Dallas Robinson.
During his working years, he worked as a domestic plumber. He attended church in Canoe Creek when he was able. George was an avid hunter.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service on, Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Gary Dull, officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
