William R. Hillard

William R. Hillard, 67, Altoona, died Saturday, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Altoona, son of the late William S. and Mary A. (O’Conner) Hillard. He married Roberta L. Wiseman in 1987 in Juniata; she survives him.
Also surviving are his children: Joseph Hillard, Billie Jawn Hammel, William R. Hillard, Jr., Crystal Hillard, two step sons-Richard Sabo and Adam Sabo; one sister Sheila Garmen; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grand-children. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Joseph and John, and 2 grandchildren.
William retired from New Pig Corporation as a Sheeter Operator in 2001. He enjoyed sitting on his pool deck, gardening with Roberta in their yard, video gaming, loved his Harley Davidson rides each summer, and especially loved his dog Muffin—his faithful Pug companion.
Friends will be received from 10 AM until the 12 Noon funeral service Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
