"Aunt" Judy Marsden, 73, Altoona, died Friday at her residence after battling pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Alden D. and Susie E. (Miller) Marsden.
Surviving is a niece, Debra (Mike) Tini of Altoona; two nephews: David (Tammy) Sneath of Irmo, S.C. and Craig (Lou Ann) Sneath of LaJose; five great-nieces and five great-nephews and their spouses and one great-great-grandniece, all whom she loved with all her heart and are devout servants of God; and her devoted friends: Anna Mae (Mac) Widney and Bret and Sharon Hayford.
Judith retired from J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, in 2008, after many years of service. She formerly worked at Altoona Hospital. She was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, having trained at St. Francis Hospital School of Anesthesia, Pittsburgh, Class of 1970. She also attended Altoona Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1965. She was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1962 and had attended Fairview United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received from 2 until the 3 p.m. memorial service, Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Fairview United Methodist Church, Altoona, Pastor Beth Pyles officiating. Inurnment will be at Alto-Reste Park. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family Services Teen Center in Altoona; the Methodist Children's Home in Elizabethtown, the Altoona Public Library and/or the Central PA Humane Society.
