Janet Snyder

Janet M. Snyder, 73, Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in New York City, New York, daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Shoemaker) Reynolds. She married Thomas E. Snyder June 29, 1968 in Ebensburg, PA. He preceded her in death December 13, 2002.

Surviving is her son Scott Snyder and his wife Michele, her son David Snyder; two sisters: Diane McGuire (George), and Barbara Reynolds (Gino), and one brother Timothy Reynolds; as well as her faithful Jack Russell Terrier Amy. She was preceded in death by her infant sister Mary, and one brother, Gary.

Janet retired from Conemaugh Valley High School as a teacher’s aide after many years of service. She was a 1962 graduate of East Conemaugh High School. She was a member of St. Marks’s Catholic Church.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, August 29, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Interment at Blair Memorial Park Cemetery, Bellwood.
