Delores M. Hoover

Delores M. Hoover, 84, Altoona, passed away on Sunday at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Howard Earl and Margret A. (Walker) Walters. She married Robert F. Hoover April 28, 1956. He preceded her in death in 1980.

Surviving is her son Mark F. Hoover of Altoona; a brother Howard Earl Walters, Jr., Altoona; friends Frances Wilson; Pastor Duane Coy; Betty Boslet; the Robert and Penny Woomer family, and John and Robin Kessler.

Delores worked at Altoona Trust as a Courier until 1961. She was a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce, and the Altoona Area High School. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, and enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting and needle point.

Friends will be received from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM funeral service Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. James Church Memorial Fund.
