Carole Rae Forney, 78, Altoona, passed away early Wednesday morning at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Albert Edward and Judith Jane (Hyle) Endress. On October 20, 1980, she married Garland E. Forney in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1990.
Carole is survived by three step-sons: John C. Forney of Juniata, Frank C. Forney of Tipton, and Frederick Forney of Virginia; a step-daughter, Gail Lawley of California; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; a brother, Charles W. Endress of Tyrone; five nieces; two nephews; numerous great nieces and great nephews; four beloved dogs: Shotzie, Petie, Harley, and Evie; and a beloved cat, Shadow.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Nancy J. Lattieri, Donna Schneider, and Judith Layton; and a brother, Albert D. “Butch” Endress.
Carole was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers and animals.
Friends will be received from 5 until the 7 p.m. Funeral Service on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Boxer Transfer Network, c/o Sue Wagner, 608 1st Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.
