Orville B. Beck, 75, Altoona, went to be with the Lord Saturday evening, November 10, 2018, at home surrounded by his family.
Known as "Bub" he was born in Altoona, a son of the late Orville F. and Sarah H (Smith) Beck. He married Martine Neely on January 2, 1965, at Juniata Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are his wife, Martine, of more than 53 years, two daughters; Diana (Beck) and husband Doug Fisher and grandchildren Stacey, Kim and Matt Fisher; Cindy (Beck) and husband Thomas Cox and grandchildren, Vanessa Beck, Codie Cox and Calie Cox; two sons; Bob and Becky Beck and grandchildren Jackie and Brad, and son Dan and Christy Beck and grandchildren, Ella, Logan and Dylan , six great grandchildren; Cayden Beck, Rylie Beck, Addalyn Beck, Jaxon Conrad, Mia Zitsch and Westley Zitsch.
Mr. Beck attended the Asbury United Methodist Church. He retired from Conrail/Norfolk Southern as a machinist on March 28, 2003.
He was a member of the Riggles Gap Sportsman's Club. He graduated from Altoona High School in 1961. He also received his auto inspection license. His hobbies included automobile restoration, carpentry, gardening and hunting.
Friends will be received from noon until the 2pm funeral service on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Vance Hart and Rev. Carol Gathagan, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
