Edward Thomas Nail, Sr.

Edward Thomas Nail, Sr., 75, Tyrone, passed away early Wednesday morning at his home.
He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Clyde A. and Freda Jane (Thomas) Nail. He married Ruth Ann Guerin in 1964.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Edward T. Nail, Jr. and wife Meg of Tyrone, Bob Nail and wife Jean of Illinois, Scott Nail and wife Tamey of Altoona, and Melissa Irvin and husband Mark of Florida; eight grandchildren: Cody, Samantha, Jessica, Julia, Wynter, Sabre, Blake, and Perry; a great granddaughter, Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister.
Edward retired from Conrail and was a member of the Brethren Church of Juniata. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon Funeral Service on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona. Reverend Ernie Walls and Todd Lewis officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
