Mary J. Buchanan, 78, Altoona, passed away early Wednesday morning at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born in Blandburg, a daughter of the late Genevieve G. Russell. On December 6, 1963, she married Sheldon V. Buchanan, Sr. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2010.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley J. Deeters and companion Bob Mowery of Altoona; a son, Sheldon, Jr. and wife Donna of Greenwood; a granddaughter, Ashley Claycomb and husband Chris of Altoona; a grandson, Gregory Buchanan of Greenwood; a great-granddaughter, Tymber Claycomb; half-sisters: Frances L. Walker of Shickshinney and Virginia Ann Calterwood of Altoona; and a half-brother, David Palmer of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Lawson.
Private family services will be held.
