Velda B. Rodamer, 95, Tyrone, passed away early Friday morning at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Anna Belle (Cherry) Lasher. She married Burton Amous Rodamer. He preceded her in death.
Velda is survived by two children: Lorene Frischknecht and husband Henry, Sr. of Sussex, NJ and David Rodamer of Tyrone; grandchildren: Henry Frischknecht, Jr., Debbie Frischknecht, Heather VanAlstyne, Charlie Frischknecht, David Frischknecht, Mark Frischknecht, and Matthew Frischknecht; great grandchildren: Rory VanAlstyne, Hanna Frischknecht, Claire Frischknecht, Zoe Bosch, and Hayden VanAlstyne; and daughter in law, Paula Frischknecht.
Velda graduated from Columbia Bible College. She worked as a school bus driver in New Jersey. She was a member of the Riggles Gap Bible Church and enjoyed reading and cross stitch.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Riggles Gap Bible Church, 613 Lear Road, Altoona, 16601 with Pastor William Ice officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
